Spanish MEP Irene Montero challenged Trump directly over the Iran war in the European Parliament. "Send your son, Donald Trump, if you want war. Send your own people to the front line," she said. "We in Spain want our children at home — safe. Those who want war should send their own children."
She also called Trump "the Hitler of the 21st century" and demanded Spain leave NATO, saying "the U.S. and Israel are the main threats to global security." She rejected the claim that bombing Iran helps women: "No woman has ever been freed by American bombs. Not in Syria. Not in Iraq. Not in Afghanistan. Not in Iran."
Her remarks followed Spain's refusal to let the U.S. use jointly-run bases at Morón and Rota for strikes. Trump threatened to cut all trade with Spain. Spain, Belgium, Denmark, France, and Italy have all distanced from the war.
