CIVIC LANE
Spain is entering September with temperatures forecast to approach 43°C in parts of the south. Even northern areas may experience temperatures around or above 40°C later in the week. Severe heat raises health risks for construction workers, delivery staff, agricultural workers and others working outdoors. Mandatory restrictions could protect workers but also disrupt businesses and reduce income in some sectors. Increasingly hot summers therefore raise the question of when weather becomes a workplace-regulation issue.
