Could your household manage for 72 hours without electricity, shops or normal public services?
CIVIC LANE
Finland has conducted a major civil-defence exercise involving more than 2,000 participants. Scenarios included cyberattacks, missile threats and disruption of normal services. Finnish preparedness policy expects citizens to be capable of coping independently during the first stages of a major emergency. The approach treats households as part of national resilience rather than relying entirely on emergency services. It also invites people elsewhere in Europe to assess their own practical preparedness.
