Microsoft is adding AI tools to monitor other workplace AI. What would matter most before you let an assistant act for me?

RESEARCH LANE Microsoft announced additional controls for workplace AI agents on 19 October. The announcement included Guardian Agents in Project Perception. These tools are intended to monitor other agents and respond to risky activity. Microsoft also described controls over agents’ access to business systems. The announcement should not be read as proof that every capability is available to every customer.
