Which fashion innovation would you MOST like to become mainstream?
CIVIC LANE
Fashion is facing growing pressure to become more innovative without encouraging even greater consumption. Europe is developing a more circular textile economy as less than 1% of textile material is currently recycled back into new clothing. Researchers have also demonstrated textiles grown from fungal filaments that can be biodegradable and even capable of self-repair. Artificial intelligence is meanwhile becoming increasingly influential in textile and fabric design. These developments raise the question of what consumers actually want innovation in fashion to achieve.
