CIVIC LANE
A new Swiss survey reports that around 80% of the population now uses artificial intelligence, roughly double the level recorded two years ago. Adoption is particularly high among people aged 15 to 34 and AI is increasingly present at both work and home. Rapid adoption does not necessarily mean equivalent levels of trust. People may happily use AI to translate text or plan a trip while rejecting it for medical, financial or employment decisions. The important dividing line may therefore be not whether people use AI but whether they are ready to let it make consequential decisions.
